What our members are saying about the Sussex Chamber!

II can’t speak highly enough of my experience with the Sussex Chamber of Commerce. The events I’ve attended, both virtually and in person, have been invaluable for building connections, learning, and growing my network. My membership truly began on October 4, 2024, when I attended the online Grow Your Connections session hosted by Jess Knight. This was a fantastic introduction to the Chamber’s networking style, and it made me feel welcomed right from the start.

On October 16, 2024, I attended the B2B Expo at Brighton Racecourse, where I had the opportunity to take part in a speed networking session facilitated by Amanda Young and Jess Knight. Although short, this session was an incredible icebreaker, providing the perfect environment to meet a diverse group of professionals in a brief but impactful way. A few days later, on October 22, 2024, I joined the Ignite Your Membership session hosted by Amanda Young. This event was a fantastic way to learn about the new Chamber website and all the tools available to maximize my membership benefits. I left feeling informed and empowered to make the most out of my membership. Finally, on October 24, 2024, I attended the Ultimate Sussex Networking Bingo event in Worthing at Field Place, hosted by Laura Easton and Amanda Young. This was, by far, one of the most enjoyable networking events I’ve ever attended. The atmosphere was engaging, and I had a great time meeting inspiring professionals. To top it off, I even won a Bingo prize—a pop-up stall at a future event, which I’m thrilled about!

Each of these events has provided me with valuable connections and insights that are already making a difference in my business. If you’re considering joining the Sussex Chamber of Commerce, I strongly encourage you to take the leap. The benefits, networking opportunities, and support they offer are invaluable for personal and professional growth.

Wolo Foundation wants to thank the Sussex Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to meet other businesses as part of the nomination and awards process. Meeting the independent judges for each category we were nominated for has resulted in some great working relationships. We are very grateful for the opportunity to share more about the work we do in Sussex, and this has been made much easier as a result of joining the Commerce and applying for the awards.....We’re so grateful for everything, you guys have helped us share our voice. As you know, together we can make such a huge difference. Thank you!

Gatwick Airport have a long relationship with Sussex Chamber as a Premier Member. Their wide range of services and events provide an excellent resource for businesses of all sizes across Sussex.

The Chamber also provides a strong voice on behalf of local businesses at the national level through the British Chamber and lobbying of central government. Gatwick is particularly grateful for the hard work of the Sussex Chamber team in recent months in supporting the Airport’s key priorities to ensure business recovery from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

International Trade Services:
Just a note of thanks and positive feedback for Kara Grant - she assisted us with our first documentation submission and couldn't have been kinder, more patient or understanding. It significantly reduced worry and stress over it. A huge credit to the Chamber, and highly commended.

The Sussex Business Awards have a wide range of categories to enter, the application forms are succinct and even the interviewing by the Judging panel is a stimulating experience
If you are recognised with an award the morale boost for your team is immense. You are given marketing collateral and support from Sussex Enterprise that can be used for customers, suppliers and prospects and you can proudly say that you are part of an ‘award winning’ organisation……doesn’t that have a nice ring to it?

Pentagon were overjoyed to be awarded winners of the 2023 Sussex Chamber Business award for Equality Trailblazer. This was an amazing achievement and recognition of our commitment to deliver equality in the work place and the wider manufacturing industry.

The award delivered excellent marketing opportunities to raise awareness of the importance of workplace Equality Diversity & Inclusion with in our industry sector as well as for business promotion.

The awards evening itself is a fantastic celebration for the Sussex Chamber of Commerce members. The diversity of companies that attend make for a wonderful networking opportunity.’

I always like this kind of event where there is some structure. Everyone is in the same situation
and you can explore new (and previous ) contacts that you might not have if left to mingle. - Speed Networking with the Neighbours

We enjoy the events that the chamber puts on as it gives us a great opportunity to find out what is going on.
Each event usually has a theme so we learn something; we take something away from the event that we can apply in our business. The other great thing about their events is that we get to meet other business owners or managers and can gain insights, business links in the form of customer or supplier.
