Understanding Menopause in the Workplace - For Managers

In this highly interactive and discussion-based workshop participants share experiences and insights about the menopause. Through trainer led sessions, exploration of case studies, facilitated group, and pairs work, attendees are invited to have a safe and in-depth conversation about Menopause, its impacts, and intricacies. Increasing the awareness of the menopause creates a more inclusive and supportive environment.

Participants will:

  • Define what Menopause means & identify the symptoms.
  • Discuss the impact of Menopause on individuals' experiences at work.
  • Explore how Menopause affects working experiences and relationships.
  • Recognise that Menopause is a social, emotional, and medical experience.
  • Understand that Menopause is inevitable for over 50% of the population.
  • Explore what Andropause might be and its impact.
  • Examine stereotypes and their impact on workplace expectations.
  • Discuss the intersectionality of menopause experiences for disabled, black, minority ethnic, and LGBT employees.

Managers will also:

  • Learn strategies for effectively managing employees experiencing menopause.
  • Develop strategies to lead & retain menopause and post-menopausal employees.
  • Address high exit rates from the workplace due to menopause-related issues.
  • Celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of menopausal and post-menopausal women in the workplace.
  • Improve Leadership Skills in managing a diverse workforce.
