Certification, Legalisation, Notarisation, & Apostile of Export Documentation

What does Certification mean?

Certification is carried out by a Chamber of Commerce. The Sussex Chamber team can certify a wide variety of documents including export invoices, agency and distributor agreements, packing lists and health certificates to name a few.

What does Legalisation mean?

Legalisation of a document is performed by an Embassy and will typically show as a postage style stamp on the document.  Sussex Chamber are an Agent Chamber of The Arab Chamber of Commerce and can arrange Certification and Embassy Legalisation for Arab League Countries, and also work with other Embassies to arrange Legalisation through them.

What does Notarisation mean?

Notarisation is carried out by a Notary public.  It is normally applied in the form of a Seal or Declaration from the Notary Public. We can arrange for Notarisation of your signed Export Documents.

What does Apostille mean?

An Apostille is carried out by the Foreign Office.  It is normally applied in the form of an additional ‘Certificate’ that is applied to the back of the document being apostilled.  We can arrange for the Apostille to be carried out for your signed Export Documents.
