A Nature-Themed Transformation for RSPB Brighton
With spring nearly upon us, what better way to mark the season of re-birth with a nature themed case study from Rap Interiors? The Brighton design and build company was chosen by prestigious client RSPB (The Royal Society for the Preservation on Birds) to help its team to relocate and transform with an on-brand aesthetic.
To achieve the brief, Rap Interiors began by carrying out restoration work to the premises RSPB was leaving. This restoration work, known as a dilapidation, was key in helping RSPB to honour its lease agreement with the landlord and, in turn, avoid any legal issues prior to moving on.
To create a nature-themed aesthetic to reflect RSPB’s identity, our designers came up with the outside-the-box idea of creating work zones with bird-themes, such as The Bird Bath, The Nest and The Perch. Furthermore, they introduced biophilic elements to “bring the outside in” hanging acoustic screens with a tree “cutout” effect.
RSPB also wanted to facilitate hybrid working, where some members of its team would work from home. This meant taking into account the average daily office footfall to create the ideal space configuration and introducing locker systems so employees to hotdesk accordingly.
Following the works, RSPB Office Administrator Sarah Murphy gave glowing feedback to Rap Interiors:
