Dedicated to making a lasting impact on the future outcomes of young people.

 

Willing to volunteer their time to achieve positive change in local schools and colleges, using core skills including relationship building and being analytical.

 

What will you be doing?

 

Supporting the school or college's senior leadership team strategically to develop and evaluate their careers plan.

 

Providing a valuable employer's perspective on how a school or college can embed labour market information and opportunities into the careers programme.

 

Engaging with local businesses and employers in your network to put a wide variety of careers opportunities at the heart of young people's education.

Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan led by the Sussex Chamber.

 

The purpose of the LSIP Trailblazers is to break down barriers between employers and further education and skills providers by identifying the short, medium and long terms skills needs and in turn develop a more responsive local skills system.

 

 

The Sussex Chamber webpage has details of how organisations can book onto LSIP Workshops, which will be taking place across Sussex in October and November. 

 

The key date for Brighton is 10 November 2021 13.30-16.30 at Jurys Inn.

BIPC Brighton & Hove, Jubilee Library – November Events

 

Thursday 11th November -  Start-up Day 2021

 

Whether you are an existing business are just starting out, come along to the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) at Jubilee Library in central Brighton and enjoy a day of free talks and practical advice sessions designed to get your business idea or business growth plans off to a flying start.

 

This year Start-up Day is taking place on 11 November 2021 during Global Entrepreneurship Week, with involvement from over 20 libraries around the UK and over 50+ speakers. Inspired by COP26, the main theme of the talks and sessions will be sustainability in business.

Brighton Main Line – reduced weekend service due to engineering work

 

Planned engineering work that will be taking place this Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November, and on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November.  

 

Network Rail will carry out works to replace and modernise Tracks between Gatwick Airport and Three Bridges, and therefore only one rail line will remain open to trains between these stations on these dates
