We are humbled to be featured in this year's Parliamentary Review, showcasing our commitment to improving health and wellbeing within the community. We are one of twelve organisations across the UK featured to represent best practice in our industry and the only business in the South East to be highlighted.

We are humbled to be featured in this year's Parliamentary Review, showcasing our commitment to improving health and wellbeing within the community. We are one of twelve organisations across the UK featured to represent best practice in our industry and the only business in the South East to be highlighted.

 

Chaired by both Lord Pickles and Lord Blunkett, The Parliamentary Review provides a unique insight as it bridges the gap between the country and its policymakers. The Review has a foreword from the prime minister and an introductory piece from the BBC's Andrew Neil. It is sent to over 500,000 leading business executives and policymakers and demonstrates how sector leaders have responded to challenges in the political and economic environment.

 

Inspiring active lifestyles is at the heart of what we do, and our work, in partnership with Lewes District Council creates opportunities for people of all ages and ability levels to be more active.

In the Parliamentary Review, we discuss our work and the ongoing ambition to be recognised as an active partner to Public Health England and NHS primary care services.

 

The article focuses on how we have increased participation in older age groups and with primary care service partners. Our MoveMore scheme means that GPs can refer patients directly to a health and wellbeing co-ordinator who encourages patients into activities with short, medium and long-term goals. More than 85% of patients who followed up at one of our centres - after an initial consultation with a health and wellbeing co-ordinator - expressed interest in increasing their physical activity levels, with half then going on to participate in an activity.
